KOWEE

Inaccurate historical records said Kowee was an Aak'w Chief and showed Joe Juneau and Richard Harris gold.  This is incorrect, per our oral history, Kowee was from Young's Bay (territory of the Hutznawu on Admiralty Island), not Aak'w Kwaan from this area. He was in fact, a Chief of Police.  As you can see from his photograph he is wearing a police uniform and was buried in it.
